Since its inception in 2010, POW! WOW! has grown into a global network of artists and organized gallery shows, lecture series, schools for art and music, mural projects, concerts, and live art installations internationally. POW! WOW! has become an integral part of Hawaiʻi’s art and urban history.

In partnership with this exhibit, Bishop Museum’s vast collections, galleries, and outdoor spaces provide an immersive contemporary art experience that bridges traditional culture, contemporary creative expression, and indigenous perspectives.

To commemorate this unique exhibition of POW!WOW!, we created a limited edition aloha shirt featuring our iconic Big Shade heritage print, adorned with a hot pink ‘Welcome to Paradise’ embroidery.  Check out the Bishop Museum website for information on the exhibition, open until September 19th, 2021!
